We are Glassroots.... an innovative plant-based restaurant serving up fiercely local food paired with the city's only All-Canadian wine list.
We are a Vegetable Restaurant. We don't use meat, milk, eggs or cheese simply because we don't have to. We believe that these ingredients, at least the way the vast majority of restaurants use them today, are not sustainable, healthful or kind.
In the kitchen, Chef Yoda is the brains behind our weekly changing menu. She's a Red Seal Chef & owned and operated South Western Ontario's first plant-based catering company before opening Glassroots.
Out front, Mike Fish manages the dining room and brings with him years of classic wine training. He's worked in the industry for over 10 years in bars, clubs, as a wine rep, at a golf course and more.
Together they're elevating the vegan dining scene in London with a menu that offers creative, intensely homemade, fiercly local & strictly seasonal food. We are proud to offer a Tasting Menu to our clients looking for an extra special experience.
To achieve this, we work closely with local farmers and believe in continuing the education of our staff. In the winter months, we rely on preserves like jams, our own canned goods and methods like dehydrating, fermenting and curing, We don't just do local when it comes to food... everything from the food & wine to the art, decor, the bar and the fixtures were all sourced locally, upcycled or built from scratch.
